Does anyone know if someone starts to have a d&e procedure started, can they have the sponge material that is inserted in the cervics to start the dilation taken out and stop the abortion process from this point or is it too late?...This is a two day procedure...First they insert the sponge sticks in the cervics to start the dilation and the next day finish the abortion...I was wondering if the process can be stopped after having the sponge sticks inserted the first day?

I have no idea; but maybe, maybe, if you took out the sponge right after getting home, you might be able to prevent your cervix from dialating. That would be the only thing you could do. However, you need to figure out if you (or the woman aborting) is just getting cold feet; and you/she needs to remember your/their reasons for aborting in the first place.
