Q: What Is Wrong?

I had my period about 2 1/2 weeks ago, but for the past 5 days I have been bleeding very dark brown blood. This is not spotting it is very heavy. Now I am bleeding red. My next period starts this sunday. I think it may be more than breakthrough bleeding. Also, I do have pain in my pelvic area after sex and my doctor says it is possible that I may have endometriosis. Anyone have any ideas. I am going to the gynecologist tomorrow, but I am worried. Thanks

General rule of thumb...If you're saturating your pad or tampon completely and have to change it every 1/2-1hr then you need immediate medical attention. Especially for prolonged bleeding as it may cause anemia. If you're changing longer than that, then you're just having a heavy period and need it checked out anyway if it's a concern.
