Did anyone else cry, because steve irwin died? I sure did.

he was so amazing, one of the greatest conservationists of our time I think, because he took it into the media and promoted environmentalism (in a way that actually reached the masses) by being so passionate and getting people so excited and sharing his great love for living things.

I can't believe he's dead. I am so sad. I hope someone else cares, because seriously, in a world where people care what oversexed fool celebutards like paris hilton is wearing they can atleast take a minute to reflect on a real great guy like steve. : (

I liked him a lot and I care that he died, but I don't like the fact that he was holding his son when he was 2 or 3 months and feeding a croc at the same time. How stupid.

I don't agree with living such a wreckless life when you have children. It's sad he involved his children with his dangerous work. That said... He was just so great. It must be great doing what you love for a living like he got to.

I'm really sad too - I can't quite believe it to be honest. I feel so sorry for his poor wife and children, they must be going through hell.

What annoys me though is that I have received a 'joke' text message about him and it really angers me off that people find humour in someone's tragic death. I can remember when little jamie bulger was kidnapped and m-urdered (he was only 2 or 3 years old bless his heart), there was a joke going around about that too. It made me cry it was so insensitive.

Why are some people sp messed up as to joke about someone dying?!

Sorry, went a bit off on one there!

I couldn't believe it. Terra told me &.I thought she was joking or had found out some false information or something.

He was so passionate about what he did. At least he died doing what he loved, yeah? I feel so awful, though. His poor wife &kids.. His babies are only 8 &2. :(

.They did a little bit for him last night on .Jay .Leno. I cried a little bit then.

He was a great man &will definitely be missed.

Yeah ironic way to go huh? But stingrays arent deadly...People get stung by them everyday on thier feet and do not die....The saddest part is he got it right in the heart and anything puncturing your heart will most likely kill you. He was a cool guy and its sad...

I was in complete shock when I found out about .Irwins death. My nephew was torn to pieces. He idolized 'the crocodile hunter' and watched his programs religiously. I also feel bad for his family. I wonder if his wife will stay in .Australia or come back to the .U.S.....I guess that's where she was originally from.

Atleast we get to know before he died he pulled the stinger out of his chest. (i imagine this to being stabbed and taking no crap from the knife and yanking it out of your chest).

That is extremely tough and manly. That's just how cool he was. I love him.

The other sad thing is that his wife and daughter were on a boat filming, watching it all happen. (i don't know how true this information is but i've heard it somewhere). That poor little girl, having seen it happen. I can't imagine how that family must be feeling. Though they are probably really proud to have had a dad and husband as awesome as he was.

His death was caught on video, which is in police custody right now. I hope that it doesn't get released because a lot of fool will download and watch it. It's like the videos of those people being executed in the middle east. So many of my friends watched it and I thought it was just the most disgusting and disrespectful thing to do. I could never watch something like that. I would never want to. I really hope that isn't what happens with the video of his last moments on earth.

Yall it was craaazy. Like when .Richard .Pryor died, or when other celebrities died, I was like aww, that sucks. But when I heard that .Steve .Erwin died I almost cried!! Me and .Baron watch him almost every night. Baron lovvees animals and so do I and we loved the way he acted!!

Have yall ever heard of "the grizzley man"? Well he .S.W.O.R.E he was one with a bear. And that he could become one of their "pack" and they loved him and they could speak to him. Well on one of his trips, a grizzley maulled him. They got the homicide on tape. I call it homicide because it was brutal. And they wouldn't let his wife hear it because it was waaaay to graphic.

With steve erwin, they were videoing the show. And when he got stung, they say he pulled it out and went unconscience. The camera man then turned off the camera while they tried to recissitate him because he knew he was witnessing a death.

I watched a show on the grizzly man a while back. Actually him and his girlfriend were both killed, the lady they wouldn't let listen to the tapes was a good friend of his who all his things were released to.

I remember the guy interviewing her asking if he could listen, it's just audio because the shutter was closed on the lense, and telling her she must never listen to it, that it was something he wished he had never heard.

That was sad too. He was also an alcoholic before he began living out there with the bears, he said they were what saved him and made him change.

You'd have to kill me to force me not to hear how my best friend died!!! I watched that episode too, they were like outside on a porch or something.

Craaazy, but it's wild animals ya know? You might think you can control or bond with them, but some don't want anything to do with a human.

This and steve erwin is gonna be remembered forever!!! Steve was sooo positive all the time!!

Steve irwin was a legend!! Cant believe it either. Me my man and the boys always used to watch the shows we all loved it, its soo very sad!
Apparently his family werent on the boat they were away on holiday, and the reason why they kept filming him was because he always said that was what he wanted. He was a very brave man and I have loads of sympathy for his wife and two children

Gosh ...You made me cry again michelle..I couldnt believe it when I heard it..But like jonathan said..When you live that sort of life style...You take that chance everyday...But atleast he died doing what he loves..I know that it wasnt right for him to hold his son while feeding that croc...But he was raised around animals and I guess at the time he was thinking that he wanted his children to be raised the same way..But after it was said and done..He apologized ..So atleast he was man enough to say sorry and admit he was at fault..But he was a very caring and loving father/husband...And considering I lost my father and mother at the same time..I cant imagine what his children are going through...With them being so young..Its going to be hard but they will make it through..!!

Sorry .Jillian! It was devastating to hear about. I think it would have been less of a shock if he had died at the hands of a crocodile.

In a way it's good he didn't die by a croc... Because they were his passion and he loved and respected them so much. That way people might say his work with them was in vain, if the animal he dedicated his life to took his life... It may sound weird but I think it's a good thing he wasn't killed by a crocodile.
