I have a question for everyone and carifary because I know you work at a clinic. I made an appt got it off gynpages link. The do iv sedation with demeroyl and valium. The real problem I am having is I am 9 weeks and will be almost 10 by next week. What is the average week for abortion in 1st trimester. I am feeling guilty for not getting one at 6 weeks. Am I a horrible person. Is the fetus much more developed in 3 weeks? Also can anyone tell me their experiences? I am very scared...They said I would be out in 1- 1 1/2 hours so it seems more private a clinic

10 weeks is not too rare; it begins getting rare at 12-26 weeks.

Hi there!
89% of all abortions happen before 12 weeks....

Women have aboritons from 6-12 weeks!

Many women have an abortion at 9-10 weeks, not everyone can take time off of work so easily. Not all women have 400$ just laying around to spend.

You certianly did not wait too long my dear. I do not think you should feel guilty at all, but I realise that this is a unique circumstance for you, and that all feelings can be felt.

The more private clinics are very nice, I believe you will be quite pleased with the level of care you may recieve.

no you are not an horrible person and anyone who says that you are is just stupid and vindictive. You have no reason to feel guilty, who has made you feel guilty, they should just keep their traps shut and let you work through it, support you but not grief you.Good luck.

Please don't be scared, you're not a horrible person. 10weeks is very average time for abortion so don't feel guilty.
I hope that it goes well for you.

I had mine at 13 weeks and I was very worried that I was too far along, but I really had no problems or complications. I was very scared, but the day went well and I am feeling no regrets. Best of luck - let us know if we can do anything for you!
