First: gout information even from harvard
etc. Seems hazy, suggesting the problem
has not been an object of adequate
research. However, I would like to know
what I can do about what appears to be an
aftermath problem. For 5-7 days my gout
involves a painful right big toe, that
usually does not grow more painful because
I walk on it or even walk briskly.
However, in subsequent days, after initial
swelling subsides, I develop an
inflamation of the ball of the foot
directly behind the big toe. Should I use
ice? Heat? Medication? Should I walk
on it or stay off it?
Second: diet information seems confusing.
Clearly legumes and shell fish start my
attacks, but after on-set can diet help
reduce symptoms?

Cheap Cure For Gout Posted: 07-02-04 00:17am
Read my "cheap cure for gout" under
natural remedies this section of the
forum.
I think you're on the right track --
doctors don't seem to understand this
process. If they are saying it's
metabolic, I know they don't understand
it. My doctor also told me it was an
auto-immune disease and treated me for
that as well.
I had to find my own cure as I
realized the doc never would.
