Q: Swelling on the Vulva... appears as Bumps

Doctor Question
I am currently 23 weeks pregnant. This is my second birth. Everything has been going very well and normal. Today in the shower I noticed some swelling in the vaginal area just on the left side on the oustide. I am not sure if this is like a blood vessel or swollen lymph nodes. It is three small bumps that look and feel like they are under the skin. There is no reddness. I am not sure if this is something to worry about. Thanks

It is impossible to diagnose the “bumps” on the outside of the vagina (vulva) without a physical examination (inspection and palpation). You can go to a gynecologist or dermatologist to determine what the problem is.
