Q: Breast Tenderness After Hysterectomy.

Hi everyone! I had a hysterectomy
january of 2005. I did not have my
ovaries removed. We decided that b/c I
was only 29 at the time, he wanted to
leave my ovaries in. He said that b/c
breast cancer runs so rapidly in our
family, that I wouldn't be able to take
the hormone pills that are given after an
oophorectomy.........And that i'd jut have
to go through menopause. That was not an
option for me. So, i'm letting my
ovaries carry me as long as they can.
Here's the problem i'm having. I still
have breast tenderness about 3 days out of
every month. Is that b/c i'm still using
my own hormones? Are my ovaries causing
the breast tenderness. Is this normal?
I always associated breast tenderness
with my period and assumed that when my
period was gone, the tenderness would be
also. Has anyone had this problem?
