Payton lucy was born august 23rd. She weighed 8lbs 3.5 oz. Here is how it all went...

We went in for a scheduled induction on wed. The 22nd at 6am. They hooked me up to a moniter and saw that I was contracting every 2-5 minutes so they started me right on pitocin. I tested for strep b so I had an iv for antibiotics as well. About 6 hours later they checked me and saw that I made no progress. At that point, I opted for the epidural because I knew I was going to get it anyway. Plus, getting up and going to the bathroom was a pain in the ass. Once they put the cathider in, I could just lay there. :) I was progressing slowly throughout the day. They kept turning up the pitocen but that started to affect her heartrate so they would turn it down. When they turned it down, my contractions slowed. By about midnight I was 7 cm and my epidural ran out! Omg....Most horrible pain I ever experienced in my life!! There was only one anistesiologist (sp?) on call and she was in a c-section. I went an hour without anything and though I was going to die. Finally, the refilled it and gave me a little extra to make it take affect quickly. That made me totally numb and I could not move my right leg. Bizzaar!
When I woke up in the morning I was only about 8cm so we continued with the same routine again with the pitocen. A few hours later the doctor came in to check me for the last time and said I was barely 9cm but at 0 station. Her head would not drop. She was too big. After 28 hours of labor, she was born by c-section.

I would post some pics, but I am not sure how!

You had a looong labor! Good for you for getting through it. My labor story was pretty much the same as yours, but about 14 hours shorter! Lol. Congrats again, and enjoy her while she's little!

Bor was a lot like yours. I was in labor for 26 hours after being induced on the 23rd my son arrived on the 24th at 11:26pm. I didn't get a epidural till about 4 hours before I gave birth (i so wanted not to get it) but good thing I did because my son was sonny side up and the doc said that if I would not have gotten a epidural I would have had a c-section witch is something I really really didn't want. I was 4cm when they gave me the epidural and had contraction way over 100. I was at 10cm and ready to push within 4 hours.
