There are "stop biting" nail polishes on
the market that you might try. You can
try a bitter tasting liquid and apply a
liberal amount of the solution to the
nails, cuticles and surrounding skin every
morning.
Use gum to keep your mouth active.
And as nail biting is an unconscious
reaction to worry or stress or an
underlying concern, you might want to talk
to a counselor or psychologist about the
habit.

Is kinda weird what i did but i'll share it with you =) Posted: 03-26-08 14:40pm
ok. What my grandmom did to me was put
this bad taste luquid thing on my nail
everyday on my nails before i left to
school. Is so something you use to make
shampoo and medicine. Is called Sabila. If
you don't know what it is, google it. So,
my grandma used to cut a litle bit on the
end and use the slimy liquid on my nails,
this kept me from bitting my nail, because
their is not treatment to get rid of
addiction, you can make yourself not use
it. You can try this and you will once in
awhile try to bite your nail but you will
taste something bad, this will keep you
from biting it the next time. Hope this
really helps. Because biting nails is
really dangerous these day when you shake
hands with somebody, touch something,
dirty hands, or other things that will
bring microbes to you hands
