I think i'm freaking out over nothing. But about 2 weeks ago I started on minocycline for my acne. I take it twice a day & it's 100 mg. I feel like, nauseated a lot now & have headaches. That is part of the side effects of the antibiotic, but i'm also on birth control and have been for almost 2 months now - i've taken it faithfully every single day since starting it. I've gained a little weight and i'm always hungry it seems like.

The nauseated feeling is really bothering me though and I just want to make sure it's my antibiotic and not something else! My breasts are a little sore to the touch, but my period is due next week. I haven't had any bleeding or anything like that.

Opinions?

antibiotics can cause nausea. If your period is due next week, pregnancy symptoms wouldn't even be appearing yet if there was a possibility of pregnancy. I hope that sets your mind at ease. ;) breasts can get tender before your period and that is completely normal. Good luck!

Hello my fellow nc girl!

Long term use of antiobiotics can cause some nausea =( but it should get better over time!

The only worry could be pregnancy, if you have not used used back-up wile on antibiotics...

Yeah i've only been on this antibiotic for a couple of weeks now .. But he's been pulling out of me. I didn't get nauseated yesterday though - maybe it's going to subside!
