Q: Please Pray For Me

A few days ago I found out that I was 5 weeks pregnant and a few days..After trying for 7 long months.Yesterday while I was sitting on the toilet urinating..I was watching and there was this gray-white stringy thing that came out.No bleeding..No pain..No nothing.I got really really worried because I didn't know what it was.It really just looked like unclean urine.I have had kidney problems in the past and i've had little white stringy things in them accompanied by pain.I don't mean to sound disgusting or anything but the things that came out in the past actually resembled semen.Now that i'm pregnant I worry about miscarriage and all those things.Even though it happened to my sister ..I'm really concerned.I've called a lot of doctor's and noone really gave me any advice on what it could be.I scheduled an appt. For a sonogram on the 15th of sept...But it was hard for me to sleep last night knowing that I could have lost my baby.One doctor said that it sounded a lot like a urinary tract infection o ver the phone..So I don't know..I'm hoping so because I read that passing grayish white tissue is a miscarriage..But i'm just being hopeful because they didn't meantion a possibility f it and my sister tried to make me laugh by saying thats all the sperm that didn't make it coming out.I want to believe her..But I care about my baby as well.It happened to her and her baby is 3 months old now.She didn't let it get her panties in a twsit about it..She just told me..And laughted at what it looked like and went on about her business as usual.Just keep me in your prayers

I get that all the time and I askd my doc about it and he says its normal (stringy kinda discharge)
dont worry :p go see ur doc as soon as to stop u worrying :*

Thanks a lot..I really don't think its anything to worry about either..Its just that now that i'm finally pregnant..Ever little thing is scaring me.Everyone keeps telling me that its nothing to worry about..But hey..I'm just gonna take it easy and pray.My baby's father is getting really pissed off at me because of all the stress i'm putting on myself.Do you know what causes that kind of discharge and what color was it and how much?

It really does sound like a uti hun easy to say for us but try not to worry and see if your gp can get youi in any earlier or go to a&e and see if they can reassure you my thoiughts are with you good luck

I'm keeping you in my prayers. I would demand an appt. Sooner that later ya know?

When I was pregnant, I was sooooo terrified the entire time!! I swore that everytime I went to the doctor they weren't going to find the heartbeat!

When I was about 3 weeks I got into a realllly bad wreck. When I was 6 months I fell off of a chair and hit my belly with the back which was rot iron. When I was about 32 weeks I bit the dust, but managed to turn my body to avoid hitting my belly! Then, when I was 35 weeks I got into another serious accident!! She reeaaalllly needed to get outta there!! Lol. I was a walking accident!! Talk about paranoid!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't worry too much girl. A fetus is a strong thing!! If something does happen in a negative sense, you have to know that it was god's plan. He does everything for a reason!!

Wow..You had a lot happen to you during pregnancy.I feel a little relieved to know that if I was having a miscarriage this early...I'm only 5 weeks..But up to 6 weeks would just look like a normal heavy period..So I feel a lot better..Now I wonder what's up with thos kidneys of mine.As a child I had a lot of kidney infections.Even as a young teenager I could rememeber having pain from my kidneys..So i'm just gonna get some cranberry juice and monitor it and hope for the best.

Cranberry juice contains lots of sugar though. If could, I would suggest you try "azo cranberry". It's a pill, and it only costs about 3 dollars at your local .Walgreens. God it cleanses out your kidnes and your urinary tract sooo quickly, it's a miracle. And if you have pain accompanied with your urination, there's an "azo pain relief" pill that turns your pee orange!! It's immediate though with easing the pain.

You can also talk to the pharmacist about what you're experiencing. They know more than you would think!!! The pharmacist actually confirmed my faint positive! Hahahaha...She was like well, congratulations!! It was crazy, but anyways...

Try not to over stress either. I know that's easier said than done, but it's almost a necessity for you not to stress right now.

Take a walk, or a nice hot shower, sing while you bathe!! Something to ease your mind!!

I feel a lot better.I stopped stressing and can't wait until the 15th for my sonogram.I talked to a pharmacist yesterday about it and he didn't know what it could be.So I called a few nurses and they wanted to know was I in any kinds of pain or anything so I told them no..And i'm not..Other than some cramps that I would imagine are my ligaments stretching.I've been monitoring it like the nurse told me to and nothing happened anymore.No bleeding..No nothing..Just feels normal.Once again..My sister told me that its really nothing and that the baby is fine.My stomach has actually grown..Just a tad bit..Its right at the middle where my navel is and its a little bit round a kind of a pudge...I"m so happy.

I always see those azo thingys but we don't have them here. :( well at least not in quebec. I wish we did cause I am prone to uti's.

Mississippi, I wish you a lot of luck!! I hope all is well when you go to your scan? It's waaay on the 15th?? I thought you said it was this cominging tuesday on the 5th? Maybe I misread!

As I postd b4 I had the same and when I told my doctor he says it was normal its just because ur not havin a pierod (coz you prego) I no this sounds yukky but have u ever noticed when u have a peuirdo at the start u get a stringy bit (ano its minging) but its true that just what it is only its not a peirod its just discharge its normal and healthy just your body getting rid of yuk it doesnt need lots of [people get discharge and at diff amounts dont worry xxxxxxx try and stay stress free huni best for you and the baby :*

I really appreciate all of you.You won't believe how much stress you've taken off of me..Thank you so much for reading and responding.It's on the 15th..I wish it was the 5th though because i'm so anxious and happy.
