Sad
my first time here; my first night as a member - so please bear with me....
First and foremost - we're all adults. We're not supposed to be stupid!
Yes...I know my symptoms need to be checked out by a doctor...But I just need to know if there's someone out there who has experienced my symptoms...

I was "fine" after my hysterectomy. Not "great" - but fine. Did not engage in much sexual activity with my spouse; but I did not experience a deep throbbing pain and bleeding after sexual intercourse.
I've been separated - and entered into a new relationship back in march.
The pain and bleeding started immediately. The pain is quite intense; requiring pain medication (that I already need for my back).
Sometimes the bleeding would last for up to 2 days; but would be immediate following (or during) sexual activity.
I hate to be graphic...But in reality - no...It does not feel as though my partner is "coming into contact" with an obstruction
remember that i've had a total hysterectomy. I'm thinking of all kinds of things right now....
Key note: no pain during urination or bowel movements. No blood in either. Just such a deep deep intense pain and the bleeding.....

Sorry to have "babbled" - but since this is my first post - I wanted to tell you everything.....
Any guidance and/or advice would be immensely appreciated.
Peace and comfort to all,
lori

I was just searching for some advice on the same problem that you are having. I had a hysterectomy last august and just recently I started bleeding after sex and had pain. I am going to see my doctor tomorrow and I will let you know the outcome. Hang in there it has got to get better Smile

Same Problem Here....
This is my first time on here too... And because of the same reason. My hysterectomy was in 1999 at age 34. The pain in my back has been increasing and the pain during and after intercourse is worsening. No bleeding at any time. Sometimes I have such a sharp pain that I feel I cannot take a breath - but it goes away as quickly as it came. I have an appt for this week for a complete physical. Although I had a total hysterectomy I asked about a pap smear. The nurse told me she didn't think it was necessary and I have been searching all morning trying to find if it is or isn't. Call it a gut feeling, but something just doesn't feel right. My question is...Can you get a cancer of the vagina, etc after a complete hysterectomy - and yes, the cervix was removed.
