Sad
my first time here; my first night as a member - so please bear with me....
First and foremost - we're all adults. We're not supposed to be stupid!
Yes...I know my symptoms need to be checked out by a doctor...But I just need to know if there's someone out there who has experienced my symptoms...

I was "fine" after my hysterectomy. Not "great" - but fine. Did not engage in much sexual activity with my spouse; but I did not experience a deep throbbing pain and bleeding after sexual intercourse.
I've been separated - and entered into a new relationship back in march.
The pain and bleeding started immediately. The pain is quite intense; requiring pain medication (that I already need for my back).
Sometimes the bleeding would last for up to 2 days; but would be immediate following (or during) sexual activity.
I hate to be graphic...But in reality - no...It does not feel as though my partner is "coming into contact" with an obstruction
remember that i've had a total hysterectomy. I'm thinking of all kinds of things right now....
Key note: no pain during urination or bowel movements. No blood in either. Just such a deep deep intense pain and the bleeding.....

Sorry to have "babbled" - but since this is my first post - I wanted to tell you everything.....
Any guidance and/or advice would be immensely appreciated.
Peace and comfort to all,
lori

I was just searching for some advice on the same problem that you are having. I had a hysterectomy last august and just recently I started bleeding after sex and had pain. I am going to see my doctor tomorrow and I will let you know the outcome. Hang in there it has got to get better Smile

Same Problem Here....
This is my first time on here too... And because of the same reason. My hysterectomy was in 1999 at age 34. The pain in my back has been increasing and the pain during and after intercourse is worsening. No bleeding at any time. Sometimes I have such a sharp pain that I feel I cannot take a breath - but it goes away as quickly as it came. I have an appt for this week for a complete physical. Although I had a total hysterectomy I asked about a pap smear. The nurse told me she didn't think it was necessary and I have been searching all morning trying to find if it is or isn't. Call it a gut feeling, but something just doesn't feel right. My question is...Can you get a cancer of the vagina, etc after a complete hysterectomy - and yes, the cervix was removed.

bleeding after years of hysterectomy
I had hysterectomy back in 1993. Was dysplasia pre-cancer which runs rampant in the females on both sides of my family. Don't know if related but ran into same problem two days ago. Bleeding clotted and stopped same evening but any strenuous starts cramping, pain and bleeding once more. No cervix in this one either. All but part of left overy taken as I was only 24. They felt they got all of the cancer but back in 1997 found it beginning again in the vaginal wall lining. Cleared after 8 biopsies. Am concerned it might be related. Original ovarian, uterine cancer starting out. Was endometriosis growing up since 12. Will be making an appt with my primary physician on Monday.

bleeding five years after hysterectomy
Any strenuous activity or bowel movements starts the mentral type cramping, lower back aches, pain in left side radiating around the back, pain near left ovary and a light flow of bleeding that lasts for a little bit then goes away until the next strenuous activity.

I have no cervix no uterus, tubes tied but I do still have both ovaries and they did find a small cyst on my left ovary but the doctor said thats not big enough to cause me this much pain or these kinds of problems.

I have spotted off and on since my hyst 5 years ago but since the doctor put me on birth control pills to shrink my ovarian cyst I have noticed more pain and more bleeding.

This is ridiculous.

I had a hysterectomy a ten years ago, recently I started to bleed bright red when I clean my self, I started to wear pads because it has gotten worse, I am not sure if it is coming from the back or front, I wipe the front after going to the bath room and I have blood but I also wipe in the back and their is blood there too. I would like to know where it is coming from, I get these cramps were my ovaries are at, but I also spend week with out having a valve movement. I get a dense pain in my upper right quadrant of my stomach. do you think this is serious

Bleeding after Hysterectomy
I had my hysterectomy 2 years ago and I bleed every time I have sex with my husband. By the time I get to the doctor, he sees nothing. I don't believe threre should be any blood at all. I worry where it is coming from. I am going to make another appt with my daughter to get to the bottom of this. There has to be reason.
