I will be having the Novasure procedure
in-office tomorrow and am very nervous
about the pain I may feel. The plus side
of it all is that I will have no
Anesthesia(which I cannot stand) and I
only have to pay my office co-pay($20).
I will take a 10 mg Valium and a Vicodine
one hour before the procedure. I will
post after the procedure to let you all
know how it went.

I had the procedure done a week ago
yesterday. I am feeling great. The
procedure was uncomfortable during the
dialation part but the actual ablation was
not that bad. When I went home, I was
only feeling weird(dizzy) from the Valium
and the Vicodine. I had light cramping
the few days but not bad enough to take
anything for it. I am glad I was able to
do the procedure in the office and
avoiding general anethesia.

Novasure + pregnancy Posted: 01-26-08 13:54pm
I had my tubes tied in 2002. I have
always had very heavy periods with
horrible cramping, etc., and I had
Novasure in 2003. It was like a dream
come true! I felt no pain afterwards at
all, and I barely have anything resembling
a period anymore. One day or maybe two
days a month I have a light brown spot --
enough for a panty liner, and that's it.
Unfortunately, now (five years later) I
have realized that I long to have another
child. Is it possible at all to get
pregnant and carry a child to term after
Novasure? I realize I've had my tubes
tied, but trust me when I tell you the
tubes are the least of my problems. It
looks like I'm in the same boat as

3 weeks Post - Op Posted: 06-20-08 22:34pm
Well, I thought it was just me. I see that
the after surgery complications are not!
I had my procedure done June 29th. The
first day my cramps were unbelievable and
I was popping 800mg of motrin as much as I
could, of course within the time frame
they told me I could take it. The next few
days I didn't have a discharge at all.
Then the remaining days after I had
spotting here and there. Now, I have some
weird orange/yellowish tinged discharge.
I'm sure that's probably just my uterus
healing.
Doc said wait two weeks to have sex. Ok, I
am too bloated, and my ovaries hurt like
crazy and I feel nauseous to want to even
get close to my significant other. (I'm
35). Has anyone else felt like this?
If I take Motrin the cramping seems to go
away. I need to know if I should wait
longer in order to try again?? Or is it
normal to have this pain on and off? I
also had a D & C with the Novasure.
I'm sick of the Post-Op symptoms. I want
them to go away!!

Hi, I had this procedure done yesterday.
It took 27 minutes, but I also had to have
a D&C done. They put an IV in and
gave me some medication before the
surgery, to help w/ pain. They put me to
sleep, and I cant remember anything. My
doctor gave me some pictures of my uterus,
which are kinda cool looking. I had this
done because I am 32 with 4 kids, but have
been having heavy irregular periods since
I was a teenager. I tried birth control,
but that only shortened my days.. but my
periods were still heavy. I hope this
works. My periods really to put a toll on
my life, I usually bleed for 9 days, and
go through a box of tampon and pads. Its
made me become anemic. My iron was 7, but
thank God, its not 13. I was on iron
pills. Now 1 day after the surgery, I am
cramping a little, and hurting in my lower
back. I actually stopped bleeding
yesterday which shocked me. The doctor had me
hooked up to Morphin, and then prescribed
Ibru. and lartab, i cant spell, lol.. and
a laxative for me. I have only had to
take 2 of the Ibru and 2 lartabs. I will
come back in a month or so and let yall
know how I am doing... good luck to you
all.
