Q: Lower Back Discomfort

Hi,

i'm a 25 year old graphic designer. Recently i've noticed a strange discomfort in my lowerback area right on the spinal cord. Whenever I lie back on a chair and slouch (trying to straighten my posture these days), or when I go to sleep, I feel this pressure right on my spinal cord right above my buttocks. It feels like I am lying on a tennis ball in that specific area. I feel no pain at all, but just discomfort. It feels like its a knot. The feeling of discomfort doesn't move around at all, its always in that same area. Whenever I change my sitting or lying position, it will go away for a little while and then come back. I haven't been active lately, but have picked up running again on a daily basis. Please, any advice on this matter would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Back Pain
The first thing I would do is to go to the doctors and explain what is happening with your back.
I would also recommend that you see a physiotherapist.

I know your job is mainly working at a desk but you need to keep moving because sitting will only aggravate problem.

I would also recommend using a hot water bottle when you are in pain as well.

Believe me it helps.

I know when I was in pain the hot water bottle helped me a lot..

I hope you get better soon.

Back Pain
I suffered for many years from back pain and tried most things. I only experienced any real relief when I had lessons in the alexander technique which teaches you to deal with the causes of back pain.
One useful site is http://www.Thealexan dercentre.Co.Uk which has a lot of information including how to find a teacher in your area

I used to suffer from stiffness and pain in my lower back and I didn't want to take pain killers long term. I used a natural product that I market and it worked well for me - i've been pain free for two years. Maybe it will work for you - who knows? If you want to find out more, go to www.Nomorebackache.Info
