Q: Is Low Just As Effective?

Is there more of a chance of getting pregnant if you are on a low hormone birth control pill? I started taking ortho tri cyclen lo a litte over a month ago, and I am really skeptical about not using a condom. The doctor told me to just use a condom the first month, after that I would be protected. But the low hormone thing freaks me out a little bit.

Ortho lo is just as effective, however you do have to be more careful to not skip pills, and it may not be as effective in larger women. Also, you cannot skip your period by skipping the placebo week; as ortho lo uses three different amounts of horomones in order to more accurately mimic a natural cycle.
