Aly's meeting her grandma today, so I have her dressed up!

chillin' on the couch

trying to decide if she likes her swing... (she started crying a few minutes later, so I guess not!)

and another from a few days ago, cuddling on .Mommy's chest!

Lol that was so short-lived! Aly got too hot, so I had to change her into a onesie :( damn .Louisiana heat! I guess when my mom comes over .I'll just have to whip the digital camera out and show her the pics instead.

I'm hoping her birthmarks will fade soon! The pediatrician called the red lines on her eyelids "angel kisses". I kept thinking .Aly was scratching her face in her sleep!

Trey still has the red lines on his eyelids, less than they were at birth but his dad has them too so it could be his birthmark cause he has no other ones.

Those marks are called angel kisses. And if she has them on the back of her neck also, they're called stork bites.

Oni has them, but her dark skin hides them. When she gets a hot bath, you can see them!!

Her mongolian spot is faaaar from fading though!!

Quit worrying about her birth mark! It is a very special part of her, I have had one all of my life! It is a port wine stain (at least, that is what my dr's call it) it is an angel kiss, mine runs down the back side of my face and into my chin, later you can have it lazered but I have seen it done and to me iy still leaves a scar, just accept it, she is beautiful! That is a beautiful dress!
Have a fun day!

Sandy: i'm not really *worried* about it... But at first I did think she was scratching her face in her sleep. Now it's more like, I really want her complexion to be clear. We took her to my workplace the other day after her doctor visit, and quite a few people asked what had scratched her! I just hope they fade somewhat so they don't look like fresh wounds. :)

You just have to explain it. When people ask me "oh my god! How did she get that huge bruise on her butt?!?!?!" I just have to explain that it's .N.O.T a bruise, that it's her .Mongolian .Spot and press it to show them that it doesn't hurt and it grows up to her lower back.

I had someone ask me, in an insinuating way, how my baby got that bruise. Insinuating that I had whipped my 3 week old!!! The nerve of uneducated people!!!!

You really have to hold your tongue from cursing some people out, but being a new mommy helps with the anger!!

Your baby is beautiful reguardless of any mark on her body!!! 9 out of 10 babies have angel kisses and many of babies heads are covered with stork bites. But they confuse them with marks from their head resting on something.

Does she like it outside?

I know .Oni loves it outside and it's soooo damn hot down here!!! I have 2 fans and no less than a pitcher of ice water with me!!!!!! God and this med i'm on makes me sweat horribly!!! So I just have to concentrate on .N.O.T having sweat dripping down my face like a grown man.

From day 1 she's been outside!! Hahaha...It sucks for me!

She's adorable!! My daughter has a tiny tiny bit of red on her eyelid, which is basically gone now. Her forehead also gets a red spot on it when she strains. For example when she gets all exicted and screams at her puppy.
