When I take birth control I gain weight and are very emotional. Is it a bad idea to be taking birth control, diet pills, and an antidepressant all together?

Yeah I probably will have to since I will need to get the prescriptions for it. I was mainly wondering if anyone had actually been on all three since most side effects are depression and weight gain from birth control. Thank you for your input!

I am on the pill and anti-depressants. There were ceratain anti-depressants that I couldn't take because of the pill. But I have been on effexor xr and my doc said I can take them at the same time and they are okay together. I have recently been thinking about taking diet pills and I too had the question of.....Is it okay to take diet pills with ani-depressant and bc??

I have the injection every 3 months and im also on prescribed weight loose tablets and anti-depressants. I havent had any problems with the 3 together. I find the injection so much easier than the pill. The pill made me gain weight and I alaways missed pills and besides I dont get my period anymore. Only problem with that is, if you plan on having kids anytime soon, because it effects pregnancy.
Does your docter know your on all of them? You may as well ask.
But yer... It hasnt effected me.

Thank you for all your information, now I know I am not the only one!!! I will definitly talk to my doc! Hope she will do something for me...I took meridia and lost a good amount of weight, you might want to ask if you can take that along with the antidepressants and birth control, it is a prescription that is very expensive but well worth it!
