asked by: DoctorQuestion on August 30th, 2006
I have had my tubes tied almost 3 years ago.
I want to try that new pill called Seasonal because it only gives you a period 4 times a year but would it still work for me even though i have had my tubes tied, and what are the side affects of this pill?

"Seasonal" is a brand of contraceptive pills that prevent pregnancy but also reduces the number of menstrual periods. It seems that you don’t need any contraceptive pills because your tubes are tied and you can’t get pregnant. It doesn't seem that you can use Seasonale only to have fewer periods per year. Periods that occur during the use of Seasonale are unpredictable and can have a larger amount of bleeding. Other side effects of Seasonale are same as from other birth control pills.
