Q: Are red bumps all over the skin an Allergic Reaction?
asked by: DoctorQuestion on August 30th, 2006
I have small red bumps on my skin, on on the back of my hand and forearm, another on my leg. They dont look like acne and they itch slightly at first. Also, many places on my body itch (upper back, chest, thighs, buttocks, groin) without anything noticeable. There are also red bumps on my buttocks that I am unsure of. They do not appear to be acne, eventhough they are similar. I had a bigger (nickel size) red bump appear on my arm last night and nearly disappear by morning. There is another one of these in the crease of my breast. I was using goldbond but that seemed to be making the problem worse. Is this an allergic reaction?

I took claritan and it feels very mildly better, but i still tich all over... it gets worse after sweating or being in the heat. Im going to see my doctor but would really like any other opinions.

Thank you for your time and concern.

According to the description you have given, you could be experiencing anything (acne, allergy, furuncles etc.). I recommend you visit your doctor and then a dermatologist, if necessary.
