Q: Sore Throat One Month After Tonsillectomy

I had a tonsillectomy on august 3 due to recurrent sore throats localized to one side of my mouth, usuaully the left. It's been about 1 month since the procedure and I recovered at a quick pace and was over the pain by week 2, but am now experienceing pain equal to what I had before the procedure. I have a scratchy throat that is localized to the left side that is quite bothersome since I also have ear pain. I was wondering if this was normal after a tonsillectomy or and indication that the procedure did not help?
