My friend has an yeast infection and yes she is active but everyone is sayin that its cause she might be pregnant. Is that true that you can get a yeast infection when you're pregnant? And if so how soon would you get it?

Hi its very common to get yeast infections during pregnancy but it cannot be classed as a symptom of pregnancy. If she thinks she is pregnant she should test on the day of her missed period

Yeast infections are caused by lots of things....Not cleaning yourself well.....Eating a lot of certain foods....Some antibiotics will cause them....Doushing a lot....Most common is taking a lot of baths. Regardless if she is or isn't she should be under a Dr. Care to make sure she gets it cleared up.

Really? Taking a lot of baths? I've never had a yeast infection and I shower maybe once a week and take a bath all the other days.

Yeast infection like uti's are more common while pregnant but in no way are they a symptom or only happen when pregnant. Tell your friend to test before listening to non sense from people who clearly arent walking pregnancy tests...Good luck

yeah, thats not a true statment. The only way you could get an infection like that is not drying yourself off all the way down there.

Can you believe what some girl on the womens sexual health forum told another girl? Not to wash herself with soap only water? The girl had too much sex and she was hurting and probably raw and this chic just says not to wash with soap cause its too harsh. . .Sick

Actually my doc did recommend not to take baths if you are prone to yeast infections. Too much moisture down there is what causes them.
