Q: Question About Skipping Your Period...

Ok, I am going on a road trip next week and my period is due for the exact days that I am gone....Uggghh... I have never skipped my period before, but I definitely want to do it. I know you can skip your period by starting your next pill pack with out giving yourself the week rest from the pill. However, I am on tri cyclen, and there are different amounts of hormones each month, so can I still skip my period with tri cyclen if I just skip the sugar pills and start the next pack right away?

With tri cyclic birth control pills, you are less likely to skip a period and more likely to have prolonged bleeding into the next pack.

Monophasic pills are best to use when skipping.

Also, most women cannot skip the first time they try, because you need 2-3 months for your body to adjust and skip.
