Confused Need Opinions

Ok for starters me and my bf conceived back in may.
We started trying right after my period ended whitch was may 9
and we had sex on the 12 and we tried up until the 31 of may I
bought a pregnancy test on the 30 and I tested in the morning on the 31
and I got a definate positive right away in like 5 seconds. Ok but what im trying at is that it says on the box to test the first day of a missed preiod and I tested like 7 days before my next period was due but what really confuses me is that whenever I went for my first check up on august 8 the doctor did a internal exam and said that I was only twelve weeks.
But I did the math and I was supposed to be thirteen weeks. Whitch means that I would have conceived on may 23 but it just doesnt make any sense to me because I tested on may 31 and got a def positive and my period wasnt supposed to start for like another weeks do you think that the doctor could be wrong? Sorry I know its very confusing but any opinions
would be appeciated and thanks in advance :)

I had a similar problem.. I thought I was 11 weeks pregnant, going by when I conceived and when my last period was, but when I had my first scan, it turned out I was only 10 weeks. My midwife told me to see the doctor at the hospital to agree on a due date, and she said because there was only a week difference, and because the time of conception was so precise, I should stick with my original date.
