Q: Lump In Throat
asked by: JDHicks99 on August 28th, 2006

Hi! I have this lump in my throat that has just "showed up" each of the past few days after I ate. It is not in the middle of my throat but more to the left side and it does not hurt I can just tell that it is there. It is not hard to breath - just more annoying than anything. Has anyone experience this beofre and what did you do? Any suggestions?

Lump In the Throat
Could be related to reflux. Try relaxing more when you eat. Take time to eat, at least a half an hour. Don't combine work and eating, they should be separate. If you are under a lot of stress try taking 2 vitamin b tablets each day. All of these things help me with the lump I had in my throat. Thanks

I Have Something Similar
I wonder if it could be what I have I have some on boths sides of my neck they hurt pretty bad I think that they are twisted up nerves do to stress I believe. I tried to dissolve them by massaging them it would be better if I had someone else to do it for me. They began on the 8-23-06 right after I started taking my ranitidine meds for my ulcer.

Some Side Effects of Ranitidine
Ranitidine may cause side effects. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:

headache
constipation
diarrhea
upset stomach
vomiting
stomach pain

ranitidine may cause other side effects. Call your doctor if you have any unusual problems while taking this medication.

Hi I saw your post and wanted to thank you bout the vitamin d. I currently went to doctors and found out I am vitamin d deficiency. I have the lump throat feeling also for so long. To no relief nothing worked. I have gone up on all vitamins and taking 1 more b did the trick. My throat issues are dissolving within 1 nite of taking the extra vitamin b. thank you much appreciated chrissy
