Q: Bump on skin is not Healing...
asked by: DoctorQuestion on August 28th, 2006
Hello,
A few months ago a bump appeared on my abdominal area. It looked like it could have been a mole or a wart. The bump was right along my waistline, and ended up getting scraped off. My concern came a few weeks later when I have noticed that it is taking a long time to heal. There is only a little red mark where the bump used to be, but it is painful when I press on the area. Should it take this long for it to heal? ...or could there be a bigger problem that is not visible?
Thanks in advance,

If there is no wound (only a red mark) on the skin, then it seems that there is nothing to worry about. If there is a wound present on the skin that has not healed in more than 2 weeks, you can visit a doctor for diagnosis and treatment.
