No its not needed, its more of a release, if a man dosent do it he wont have any complications that I know of

I didn't say it was "needed" it is a very good way to relieve stress and not be so twitchy. Not trying to be mean or anything but without masturbation I am pretty sure there would be a lot more girls getting raped by guys who couldn't take being that horny. Outside religion it's a posative thing not a negative thing that being it's good if you don't do it too much then it could become a problem. Most men do masturbate, you would be suprised even married men do. i don't think she mentioned being jealous at all. She simply didn't know anything about it and wanted more information. I would be moderately freaked out if I didn't understand what the whole concept was about if I had just discovered it.

Lol, wow some responses were very funny. And yeah, she didn't mention being jealous at all. Masturbation is completley normal for men and women. It's a good stress relief and smetimes ones partner may not be in the mood and the other can masturbate. Men don't just do it cause they saw a pretty girl. But men are more pron to masturbate than a woman. If your not to familiar with it you should try experiementing with your own body and you will then understand more as to why your boyfriend does this.
