Q: Alesse - Skipping Periods

Hey!
I was supposed to have my period two weeks ago but I started a new pack. I have been having very light break through bleeding for over a week now. It would also be convenient for me to have my period next week. Can I not take the third week of active pills and just take the inactive pills and start a new pack after next week? Or is it necessary I complete the three weeks of active pills? This is the first time i've tried to skip a period on aleese.

hey, in my experience with birth control (alesse especially), the more you fiddle with the timing, the more likely you are to have spotting. if i were you, i would just continue my cycle as regularly as possible, and wait for the spotting to stop.

i know the spotting is a real drag, but the more you change the timing of your cycle, the more spotting you will get. Once with alesse while i was trying to skip periods i was spotting on and off for 6 weeks. it was horrible.
