Hello all...Now that the hotflashes have started, i've begun to wonder if some of the other strange things happening lately are menopause related. Has anyone else lost eyelashes? I hear over and over about hair loss and wondered if this would be included in that catagory. About a year ago I started losing lashes on one eye. This happens and they grow back. Of course, it takes a month or so to grow back. Then i'll lose them again. I'm not noticing any other hair loss. I went to an opthalmologist, an optha-plastic specialist (specializes in eyelid problems), and a dermatologist. No one knows why i'm losing the lashes. Thanks in advance for any input.

Eyelash loss
Hello Paula...I'm sorry to hear you have the same problem but glad to hear I'm not alone. I have been using RevitaLash for about a year. It does seem to help, but no cure. My eyelid was completely slick (no lashes at all) a little over halfway, from nose to center. Now the lashes are noticeably thinner in that area, but it looks much better. I buy it on ebay. It is expensive. The cheapest I have found it is about $90, but it does last awhile. You have probably seen it if your are searching as I did and still am. Earlier this year they approved Latisse (by prescription) for this problem. It is the medication that was originally used for glaucoma and has some side effects. I have not tried it. Please let me know if you find any success. Good Luck!

Eyelash baldness
Hello everyone.
I am not going through menopause yet but getting there. I have used prescription Latisse 3 times and saw a difference in length and fullness within a month and as that excited me I finished three bottles. Now a few months later, I have lost lashes on one eye, baldness in more that half the eyelid fron center to end. It looks horrible and bald and truely I will never used Latisse again. I have cureled my eyelashes since I was 16 on daily basis and never once experienced any baldness! It is terrifying and I have not found a cure. Some light hairs are coming out, but still they look bald and even when I use mascara or liners, it still looks different.
I hope to be able to find a natural cure one day and see my normal lashed come back.
Good luck to all!

Eyelash Loss
ME TOO! I have lost eyelashes on my right upper lid and called my Dermatologist who suggested first to have the following blood work done.
CBC, Thyroid, Liver Profile, Testosterone (crazy I thought for a woman) but I didn't care what they tested as long as they find the problem and correct it! I tried the fake lashes which probably caused more damamge, so I stopped that. I am researching everything! I will let you know what my dr. says about the result of my test tomorrow. I am 45, Female that had my Hysterectomy at the age of 18 and this is new for me and VERY UPSETTING!

Eyelash Loss
I am experiencing the same thing! I'm 49...going through perimenopause. I also have a sever B12 defeciency and I'm on shot therapy. Nothing seems to help. My Dr. is not crazy about latrisse...he wants to have a consultation before he writes me a prescription for that. Does anything else work??? It's frustrating! I have a sales job and I'm in public all the time. I used to have thick beautiful lashes. This is really creeping me out. lol

Losing Eyelashes and thinning eyebrows
I'm 50 yrs old and thought I was losing my eyelashes because of my stressful job. I don't have any menopause symptoms that I am aware of - but I am not dismissing that the lack of lashes could be my first symptom. I've also noticed my eyebrows thinning. The brows are easy to fix - a light pencil, as for lashes - can anyone recommend a brand of false lashes. Thanks. *L

also losing lashes on right eye
i have experienced the same thing. i'm 46, had a hysterectomy at 44 (but still have one ovary) and suddenly, in the last month or so, i've begun losing eyelashes. like others here, it's only one eye (my right) and my eyelid is practically bald from the nose half way over (around my pupil, if i'm looking straight). it looks so odd. i try to camouflage it with eye makeup, but that just irritates my eyes. i had tons of bloodwork done-- all A.O.K. i'm at a loss.

eyelashes, and hair line
OKAY, I am 32, two time BX Cancer survivor, second time no chemo. (0Cool My right eye is thinning on lashes. WHAT THE HECK!? Def not menopause, and no, the docs don't know whats going on because they did every imaginable test scan or x-ray, not for lashes, just because I am high risk patient, and I am just the healthiest. So, I don't know what the heck is wrong with me! I also get hair loss in patches, right now, left side just below temple, or it happens same place on other side, or at the widows peak area, or at hair line on back of neck. Started happening before even was Dx with cancer. Always grows back, and yes, Docs have no explanation!

You can regrow eyelashes
Use FYSIKO Lash Growth serum to regrow eyelashes back. I did a stupid mistake to get eyelash extensions that looked amazing, but totally destroyed my eyelashes. completely... Now I dont have to use false lashes or extensions, I have long and thick eyelashes thanks to Fysiko. It is exxpensive, but lasts 7 months for me.
