Can one give themselves herpes? Or does it have to be passed on by someone else?

You have to get it to pass it. It is spread by skin to skin or body fluids contact from another infected person.

It's a contagious disease.

You can't get it on your own!

Cancer, lukemia and ulcers are innate.

But herpes, hiv and bird flue are aquired.
