Contaception And Antibiotics Posted: 08-22-06 04:14am
I am currently on triphasil. I was given
a 3 day course of antibiotics. The doctor
told me that I should take the antibiotics
early in the morning so as to minimize the
effect on my triphasil( I take my
triphasil everyday at 16:00). I have
continued taking my triphasil everyday.
How long will I have to use other forms of
contraception? Must I wait until my
monthly period comes or will the triphasil
regain effectiveness 7 days after stopping
the antibiotics? :?:

Yes, it will regain effectiveness after 7
days of using it when you are not on the
antibiotics. =)
