Q: Large, Red Circle on skin is Raised...what can it be?
asked by: DoctorQuestion on August 20th, 2006
A few days ago i spotted a large red circle with a hard middle on my back. The next day that was better but another one started on my upper leg and the next day more appeared, mostly on my legs, as the previous ones disappeared. It is not itchy but is raised and ranging from 1" to 3" circumfrence. When it starts to go away the skin is purple, yellow as if a black and blue mark. This morning a got a new one on my groin. Does anyone know what this is?

It is hard to diagnose a skin condition without a visual examination of the affected area! You may be experiencing an allergic skin reaction and can go immediately to a dermatologist for examination, diagnosis, and treatment!
