Hello i'm always worried about getting pregnant so even though i'm only 18 I went up to planned parenthood and have my copper iud fitted. Oh well anyway here's what i'm going to ask. A day before a got my iud. Me and my boyfriend had sex because because i'm thinking that I will be safe because i'm going to have a copper iud tomorrow and I know that iud's can be form of emergency contraceptive that can be inserted up to 5 days and have a 99 efficiency. But still, I was paranoid so we still use a condom. The condom didn't break and stayed intact. And so, the day after that, I got my copper iud. I'm so happy thinking that i'm going to have 10 years of effective contraception w/o the hormones. 1 and a half weeks after that. I developed bacterial vaginosis and I need to take 7 days of antibiotics. After 4 days of that I suddenly felt like vomitting, and I always feel nauseous, accompanied with headache and my boobs are sore. I'm just kinda wondering is this just side effects from antibiotics or am I possibly pregnant. My period should come 4 days from now according to my schedule so i'm not late yet and my sore boobs can just be a sign of pms..But I still want opinions...Thanks

I think it is highly unlikely you are pregnant. You used a condom. You are currently using the iud. Sounds fairly safe to me.

you know what jillian you spoke of stopping sex like it is wayyy to easy to do that. What do you think? I didn't try to do it myself. If you have alrady read my previous posts you should have known. I know that if one person is not ready for the circumstances that he/she should stop having sex..I know that! I tried stopping sex altogether for some time almost for 2 months...I fell into the trap because for some reason I can't control myself..But even though i'm like that I always always use protection. I didn't start having sex until the age 17..And all of the previous posts that you are talking about is back when I was 15..Back when I thought some kinda of sperm entered me when my bf did this..I don't understand you...I've thought that this forum is way of helping confused people on a difficult time of their lives..I guess it doensn't say that you give opinions to a person up to a certain point. Like what you have said. I posted waaayyy to many topics already so you are just like wasting your time so you just suggested to stop having sex in a manner that you have said it...It looks like you are pissed..

Well, I agree with jillian. How can you even enjoy sex if you think you could be pregnant all the time? If you're so worried about becoming pregnant stop having sex. You say you tried and it wasn't that easy, but pregnancy scares aren't enough to dissuade you? There are other ways to be intimate and show how you feel without intercourse. What happened to good old fashioned oral? You can't get pregnant from that and you can still get pleasure.

to be fair, a lot of your pregnancy posts have been in the past year.

That said, it is a forum about helping confused people - but you already know your own answer ;)

Jillian is right you do always post saying u scared your pregnant!!!!! I suggest you either stop having sex, or be more carfull, or jus stop worrying all the time. Go on the pill& use condoms!!!Then ur double protected and may worry less. Or just dont take risks, I mean one night of not having sex before u go on contraception the next day wouldnt be to much to ask, I mean u cud have had it next day! I suggest you go n see a doctor and get something sorted, to protect u from pregnany and std's, then ur extra safe

i agree with I heart! Honestly-you cant control yourself? That is a lame excuse. Is it really worth having a baby over? Use your brains.

Also, I get cold sores sometimes on my mouth. You wont pass it to the genital area unless you actually have a cold sore at the time. The rest of the time the virus stays dormant in your system.
Genital herpes are different, you can spread those at any time regardless if you have an outburst or not.

dude i'm just here to tell you that what you said is wrong. You can pass any type of herpes hsv I or ii even if you are having symptoms..That means you can pass both oral and genital herpes even though outbreaks not "outbursts" are not present.. The only difference of hsv I and ii is their area of preference and it doesn't affect how you transfer them..Better get your facts straight..
