Is Pain in Big Toe related to Herniated Disks? Posted: 08-18-06 18:29pm
Hi
I have protrutions at L4/L5 and L5/S1 can
I ask if this would involve my big toe
being really painful too? I generally have
lower back pain and thigh pain to my knee
but more recently getting this really bad
pain in my big toe ! It feels like someone
has it in a vice!

Pain in the big toe can be caused by the
pressure that a herniated disk creates on
the roots of the spinal nerves. You can
consult a neurosurgeon for treating this
condition. If the pressure on nerve lasts
too long, it may cause terminal nerve
damage (paralysis or numbness). Pain is
only a warning against further and more
dramatic consequences!!!
