Q: What About These Numbers???

Fasting 1.7 mmo/l (30.6 usa) fasting

after breakfast 4.2 mmo/l (75.6 usa)

last night I was feeling absolutely terrible so I got up this morning feeling worse and bought a glucose kit. I have been testing my sugars regularly as I think my problems have to be reated to sugar.

The above results are what I got and I tested the low 3 times getting 1.7 twice and 1.9 the hird time.

What does this indicate? Fasting hypo? Could this be the reason I have been sufferring from terrible anxiety, mood sings, dizzyness etc?

Wait until I see my doc who fobbed me off as the anxious madcase.

May I also add I spoke to the doc who said it must be wrong because if it were that low I would be unconcious!

I did test it tree times and it was all around the same then after eating it jumped up and 2 hours later it was 3.5.

Thoughts?

Clearly a sugar problem, and you're right, this may be a case of fasting hypoglycemia. I can't remember, but tell me do you notice a reaction when you eat certain foods or are you okay with eating candy? That fasting level is abnormally low. As you can see, he believes you should be unconscious, but what he doesn't understand is that there is no set measurement for everyone. One person may go really, really low with weird mental symptoms and not pass out. That is some seriously low sugar.

Hi :) I wanted to ask you what specific types of symptoms do you get when you havent eaten or have? I am type 2 diabetic, myself. I notice that when I have not eaten or if ive eaten stuff that raises my blood sugar I get the same symptoms. I will be tired, very irritable, sometimes alittle dizzy and moody. I was told not to let my blood sugars get below 60. That would definetly mean I would have to eat something. If your blood sugar is that low and you are having symptoms, I would suggest drinking some orange juice or if you dont have that, they say you can drink some soda to raise this up quickly. Just a suggestion. Good luck! Btw, if your doctor is giving you a hard time, see a specialist or another doc!
