Q: Switching Pills...new Ones Effective Immediately?

Hi

maybe someone will know this...I'm just about to switch from tri-cyclen to triquilar. I've been on tri-cyclen for a month, and I took it without fail. I'm supposed to start the new triquilar on sunday. Will the new pill start to work immediately, just like if I started on another pack of tri-cyclen, or will I have to wait a month again to make sure that the pills are working and that I won't get pregnant?

Thanks!

I have switched pills 3 times in less than 2 years, and I have just started the new kind when I was due to start my next pack (on a sunday).

I did however, wait about 2 weeks for the new pill to get in my system enough to be protected. Switching did cause my hormones to be thrown for a loop, but I never got pregnant.
