I know theres probably not one guy in this forum hahah but I dont reallly care. Me and my girlfriend have a question. She just started takin birth control. She was waiting for her period so she could start taking it but it came when she was sleeping on a sunday night. So when she woke up at like 12:30-1:00 at night(technically monday) she found out she got it. So is that considered a sunday or monday? She said if its sunday then she has to wait till next period and if its monday she can take it this coming sunday. What should she do?

She can start taking the pills any day of the week she wants to. I personally started my period on a monday, so that's when I started the pills. Some packs come with a sicker you can insert to change what day the pills are labled as. Sunday is just used as an easy day to remember. Whatever day she starts her period is the day she should begin the pills, whether it is sunday, monday, or thursay :) just remember what days she starts on, put it on the calendar, and log each week. Then every month she'll start on the same day, monday after monday.

However, you can technically start the pills anytime; but if you don't start them the day her period starts, then she won't be protected for about 1-2 weeks (some people say a whole month, so you could always use condoms just in case). Since it's tuesday, what have you guys done?

Okay well she was telling me that she has to wait for her period. Maybe cuz of what you said about being protected the longest. But she didnt take them even on monday cuz she didnt know what to do. So now what? We have to wait for her next period? We havent done anything cuz we didnt wanna risk anything

No, like I said, you do not have to wait fir her next period. She can wait until next sunda if she wishes, or she could start the pills today if she wants. Just be sure that she knows which day she starts on and she'll be fine. Also, does she have her period right now? I think she'd be protected right off the bat, but just to be safe, you should use condoms for the first week or so. I used condoms my first whole month lol.
