My Mother Has Beggining of Cervical Cancer Cin 3 Posted: 08-15-06 11:46am
She had an abnormal smear a few months ago
so they did a coloscopy where they
examined her cervix under a microscope and
took a small piece of it away to analyse.
At the time the doctor said it will be
nothing to worry about and just wait for
the results.
Well today mum had a letter stating she
has cin 3 which is severe abnormal cell
changes where the whole cervix is covered
and she is being rushed in at 10am on
thursday to have a loop excision to remove
all the cells.
They will analyse at the time if the
cancer has spread and then we will have to
see what will happen next.
Please if anyone has expierenced this or
knows someone who has reply and let me
know what happened.
Thanks.

Firstly, just because she has CIN3, this
is (NOT CANCER!!) it is treatable and is
only on the surface layer. The loop
procedure is the best way to go. I am in
her situation and im only 28. I have to
have it done in 2 weeks. She will be fine.
