Grinding Worn Knee Pain Posted: 08-14-06 16:52pm
Hello,
i am 35 years old. I have had knee
problems since I was a child. Back in
february 06 I fell on my right knee while
roller blading and had 13 stiches. The
cut healed and there are no torn ligaments
or tendons, but my doctor only did x-rays
of my knee. He said my knee caps pull to
the outer sides. This has caused my knee
to grind down from over use and wear. Now
I can barley handle the pain I am in. My
knee comes out of place now. This has
happened three different times now. Twice
before my rollerblading accident ond once
since then. I have been doing some
therapy to try strengthening my thigh
muscles to try pulling my knee cap back
where it should be, but this has only made
it hurt worse. My main question is: do I
need a knee replacement?
