Ashley, I did that when I was in 8th grade. I didn't eat any solid food for 3 months straight; all I drank was chocolate milk. I don't remember how much weight I lost, but I did not get my period for that amount of time, and always felt weak. I really don't recommend that you continue this. You are going through a period in your life where you need to be healthy to develop into a healthy adult. I, in the other hand developed into a very short adult with anemia.

The fact that you would even ask such a question, about not eating for a month really disturbs me. Anemia is a blood disorder that happens when the number of healthy red blood cells you have is low. Its actually very serious and can cause many health conditions. At your age being skinny and looking like celebrities seems like its the most important thing...But in reality...And in the whole scheme of life...It really doesn't matter! Please be healthy and treat your body well...Its the only one you have!

If you want to lose weight fast, try the atkins diet. It is much healthier than not eating, and all you have to do is eat things with next to no carbs. 20 carbs a day max and you will lose weight fast. Of course, I do not recommend this, but you seem to be set on losing weight fast, and I would hate to see you starve yourself for that long, not to mention once you start eating again, the weight will come back, so it really doesn't accomplish anything. Hope that you understand what i'm trying to say, and good luck.

Do you know how insane you sound? Yourr body can't live like that without food. The second you start to eat again your body will store everything it can and you could even get heavier because it's trying to keep from starving.

I don't mean to sound rude but if you don't think there is something wrong with that then you have some kind of a problem and anorexia is a mental disorder. Believe me, I have only been able to eat very little amounts of food or nothing for almost 3 years because of bad stomach problems I have and I was at about 94 pounds. I run about 5-6 miles a day and do a lot of ab work and eat very little still because of my stomach. But since I have been eating more than a few hundred calories a day (i am kinda getting the stomach thing under control) my weight has gone up to 120. There is no way it could do that with how I exercise and eat usually but my doctor said my body is trying to save the food so even the littlest meal it will store. After that it will take your body a long time to recover and get thin again. And with the wrong diet you will lose muscle and it will look like you have "flab" as opposed to a fit stomach

Hi. What I really recommend you is that you take time and read the posts where mxgurlie wrote in. She died. I have nothing more to say now, but to tell you to do this and think about it. I'm pretty sure that you won't want to end up in a hospital or dead.

Eat And Lose Weight Is What Works In the Long Run
Hi there ashley...Well...10 days without food...Still not feeling hungry? This is what happens to those poor people in the starving nations, they lose their hunger, but they also can die. I'm not saying that will happen to you as you seem to be watching yourself. I would like to know what you are drinking...Is it just water or are you drinking something with solidarity or nutrition in it? Also how much did you weigh at first and how much have you lost?

Sorry hun but you are so screwed up if you think this is fine. Go for it but obviously people will find out what you are doing and eventually you will gain all that weight back plus more if you continue to do this. And your stomach will start to bloat out a ton- ever seen starving children in places like africa? They barely eat anything but there stomachs are so bloated that they look overweight

Ashley one huge problem with eating disorders "ed" is that it fools you into believing your fine! It becomes your friend ~ the only one that understands. No one with an eating disorder ever started out thinking "oh I can't wait to get osteoporosis, I can't wait to suffer from broken bones. I can't wait to get hospitalized with a feeding tube. I can't wait to get heart problems and die early." they all sounded exactly like you. The same excuses.
My daughter has battled with an eating disorder for years and is in recovery now. She was in denial for 6 months of her inpatient treatment before she finally saw what she was doing to herself. Ed not only effects you, but everyone around you. You have no idea the pain it causes.
It is not about food. It is always about something else.
If you seriously had a true weight problem, you could have seen a physician and done it the right way.
You are hurting your body. You will die. Ed will not go away; he will only get stronger and stronger.
Please listen to those who have been there.
Why do you think eating disorders have the highest mortality rate of all phyciatric disorders? Because its most often too late before you realized you have a problem and actually get help!
Any of you on here telling her it's okay should be ashamed of yourselves. Ashley, you are not a bad person. It's ed. But you need to realize that you are a better person than your physical apperance. There is so much more to you. You cannot go it alone.
Please, please, please, get help.
From a loving mother.

Please listen to mickey523, she knows what she is talking about! Get some professional help, a dr, a nutritionist. Don't listen to these people who are talking about these fast fad diets, they will do nothing but hurt you, I have seen these girls that are nothing but bone and skin, some of these models without their make-up look sick, I got sick one time and weighed 95lbs and I still say to this day that I would rather be overweight than under weight.
Their was a girl on here not to long ago that killed herself trom ed, your car needs fuel and so does your body including your brain, water is fine but you need more then that.
We are here for you but I hope you get some professional help before it is too late! It is not to late for you and you do not want to suffer what could be ahead of you with ed!
Please let us know how you are doing!
The very best to you!

omg, that totally sucks and it's really bad. You are fooling yourself if you're saying that you'll stop after those days. You won't be able to stop then, because you''l always be thinking that eating and treating well will only screw up all the sacrifice (a stupid sacrifice, listen to us...) that you've made. That's not fine, you may die. Are you paying no attention to all we here telling you this? :\ please, stop and get help!!!
