First off, I agree with the statement, that it doesn't matter how long you were with someone and the fact that you had unprotected sex. If you were saying that, trying to say maybe you can't have kids. That isn't exactly true either, unless you have seen a doctor, because it could have been the guy that you were sleeping with. If you don't want to have a baby, and if you are so scared about it, then you should definitly be using a condom and some other form of birth control.
As for the comment on herpes. I think you may be confused on what exactly herpes is and does. I have had herpes for about a year and have only had one outbreak. Everyone is different but it isn't nearly as nasty as you just made it sound or seem. If you have question on the disease itself though, I would be more than willing to answer it.
To answer your first question though, that I know you will have. No I wasn't sleeping around, I had been with one person, and after being with them for a long period of time, we went unprotected and I contracted it. He swore that he had been tested, now I know better than that, and he swore that he was clean. But we have gotten past all that and are still together.
Thanks, and good luck!
