Hi there girls, havent posted in a while! There has been a virus thats been going round the whole family so havent had much spare time!

Anyways heres how it goes, I still havent had a period since feb 15th, doctor has told me its pcos and I am awaiting my appointment on the 4th of sept so I can see a gynae about getting some meds to help me conceive.

Thing is, over the last 2 weeks I just havent felt right, could be down to the virus but I was the 1st to get it. I have been real tired, mood swings and been getting a few stomach cramps just like period pains. At first I thought 'thank god a/f is coming at last' but so far there has been nothing. So friday before last I did a hpt just to put my mind at rest - bfn. Then as it was a pck of 2 I did another on wednesday again bfn. Working it out the last time we did bd was somewhere around the 10th july (the virus really took it out of us lol) so surely if I was pregnant the tests would say positive by now. Worst of all over the last couple of days my boobs have really got sore (which never usually happens to me during a/f) and I just cant work it out! Do you think I have started ovulating again or could it be a/f, preg or what?? Really could use some advice!!

Hey jollie - well, it could be either. I have heard of quite a few people who found out they were pregnant after quite a few negative pregnancy tests. On another board, a woman was almost 3 weeks late before her hpt showed up as positive. It could also just be your body finally getting ready for af. It is too bad it is several weeks before your appointment. I'm sure the waiting is tough.

Have you thought about going in for a blood test?

Thanks for the reply abbysmom, how are things going for you?

The waits not so bad, my eldest son is on summer hols from school so hes keeping me busy!!

I think I might try another hpt at the end of next week and I will do a clearblue test, as they are the ones I normally use. I used predictor last week, they are probably just as good but I guess you just get used to certain types! If I get another bfn then hopefully it might be my a/f afterall!

I could go for a blood test but with my other pregnancys doctors never did them, they did a urine test with my second pregnancy but that came back negative at first when hpts were coming back positive!! And besides I know it sounds stupid but I always worry about bothering the doctor to much!!!

I don't know how it works in england but I don't even have to get my doctor involved with the blood test. We are seen at a military medical facility though so I am sure it is different.

Hopefully your next hpt will be positive. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I am on cd 8 of my cycle. I took my progesterone last month. I am hoping to ovulate this month before day 35 but i'm not counting on it.
