For the last 3 years I have had itchy inside of ears and often poke inside with whatever is handy. I also use swabs each day to clean ear. The itchin is so bad I find myself waking up at night the the process of diggin in my ear with the small finger.

It has gotten worse and now I have very sore, inflammed out ear and sometimes a yellow discharge.

I went to the doctor today, actually physician assistant and he prescribed be antibotic ear drops of ciprofloxacin .2% with hydrocortisone 1%. He said it could be caused by fungus too but first thing is to try this and after 3 days try fungal treatment he also prescribed.

Should I notice some trend towards improvement befor 3 days say even the next day after starting the drops?

Im traveling in 3 days and would like to move to fungus prescription if I dont see an improvement with the ciprofloacin.

Thank you
