Re: So Addicted to Zopiclone
Hi ziggy! You are not alone. I've been taking zopiclone for a couple of years now. I've taken as many as 12 or so. I am leveled out to about 7-10 depending on where I get them from. I order online mostly as no doc's gonna give me that much. I hate being dependent on them as I can never run out, if I think I might my world stops and I go into retreat until I get some more. I have studied zopiclone quite thoroughly and I don't think that it can cause serious organ damage, but I would imagine it doesn't do us much good. It's all in the addiction and the fact that it takes more too do the job each time, over a period of time.
I've fluctuated and on odd occasions I have done one or two in the day.
I started taking nytol(1 tab) as well or tesco's exta strength sleeping aid tablets. They allow me to cut down on the ammount of zopiclone.
People freak right ut when I tell them how many I am taking so I usually refrain from telling.
Ziggy, how are you now? Tell me about you'reself and situation. Remember you ain't alone and maybe we could help each other in some way.
Get back to me as soon as you can.

I realize that this post started out in august and I am not here to judge anyone but please stand back and take a look at what you are doing to yourselves. Please get some professional help before it is too late, please don't hurt others that care about you. It is good that you are cutting back but going from one sleeping med and changing it to another form of sleeping med isn't good either. I wish you the best of luck and I do hope that you can get off these meds and if you do need help that you talk with your Dr.

Hi sandyallen. My dotor's are of no real help and will not even conceive of the idea of tapering me of 10 zopiclone. They send me away, and I have already been outlawed from one surgery. Other clinic I have tried all want to make money on my sad state of affairs. I have n addictive personality. Before zopicloone it was alcohol, so I guess I need treatment for this too. Yet sometimes I wonder if the world would be that much a better place when the world is full of such misery and drudgery and everything depends on money.
Thank you for you're concern, I will still search and seek for help. I don't want to die, I just want to sleep at night and tolerance is tolerance, from alcohol to cigarettes to pain killers. 1 =2=4=6 etc...
I want to be free from all vices. I don't drink anymore, so I achieved that much.
I hope that some day I will see the world with the eyes of joy and contentment..

I have a friend of mine that has an addictive personality that is why she says she will not touch pills she had a major problem with alchohol and got help thanks to a good sponsor, I am sure they have the same thing for people with drug problems and I wish you all the best in your search and I hope that you are able to recover!

Just out of curiousity, do you experience any withdrawal symptoms from discontinued use? If so could you please decribe them to me? I have been taking zopiclone for my chronic insomnia and I would very much like to know what any potential symptoms may be. I'd really appreciate it.

Regards,
miss digby Wink
