Here is our situation..

My husband had a vasectomy 8 years ago, however we just found out 6 months ago that 3 years ago he supposibly concieved a child he didnt know about. He went to the doctor and was told he has no live sperm in his cemen yet the paternity test comes back showing him as the father.
Is this possible? Is it possible that one of the test are wrong?
We are just very confused because from everything we have read its not possible.
His vasectomy was 8 years ago at which time he was told he was sperm free and the child is now 2.
Can a man just spuratically lose sperm after a vasectomy?
If anyone can help or have any answers please do so.
We will be discussing our concerns with a physician but we are both terribly upset about this right now and could use some opinions...

Thanks so much!

Hi Dreamcatcher
I don't know what to say. It's possible that he is the father, but I think he should have a dna test done again or have a complete sa done, to figure what is going on. Once the vas is blocked, I believe it's very difficult for sperm to come out. Maybe shortly after the operation it's possible, but after 6 years?? (you mentioned the child is 2yo now).

By the way.. My husband also had a vasectomy, but had it reversed in march/2003. We just found out that he has no sperm in his ejaculate again. We are totally confused as the first sa post vr showed 117 million/ml.

Good luck to you and keep us updated.
