So for the past 3 days or so I have been
in non-stop panic. I am a 17yr old female
who is a virgin. I recently (about
2months) ago met a boy. We started
dating. Now ... I have never
given/received oral sex nor have I had
intercourse. Seriously im very
knowledable with diseases and stuff like
that but im so at a loss right now.
So back to why im ready to have a
heart-attack. I let this boy....Give me
oral sex for the first time, whereas he
told me I was his first as well. I trust
him and believe him but you know there
isnt any gurrantees. I started to uh...Do
it back but we were interrupted so it was
in my mouth no longer then 5-10
seconds...Literally no lie. So this was
about a week ago. On monday night I
experienced some itching down there and I
didnt think much of it until it continued
into the following day. So yesterday I
looked and there seems to be this ..
Pimple like bump. Its not big nor is it
painful or sore. Its just this red bump
with a whitehead. Now the bump is not
hard it is not painful. But its on what I
think is my clitoris (yes im so naive I
dont even know if its my clit.....But im
90% sure it is). There is no discharge
with strange ordors or colors. Basically
its this pimple-like bump and the
itchyness.
So today is now wednesday and its still
there. The symptoms have not worsened but
its the same. Sooo....I have no gyn. I
talked to my mom about it and after the
part where she ya know went into tears and
made me feel completely and totally
ashamed of myself she contacted a gyn but
the appt isnt until the 17th. I cannot
handle being in a constant state of panic
and stress and racing thoughts that I have
a god damn std until the 17th.
Im ashamed, terrified, and have been
crying this entire day. Someone help me.
Please.

Although there is no guarentee it isn't
some sort of std, which we all know can be
passed though any time of sexual
contact...Not just intercourse, it could
be something else. Maybe an ingrown hair
or something like that...Many women get
those after shaving down there. Telling
your mom and making an appt. With a gyno
was a good decision. But hopefully, it
will go away before you appt...But of
course you should still go and get tested.
Goodluck and try not to stress yourself
out, as hard as it seems. :)

Sounds like herpes, which you probobly
know by now - it can be transmitted
orally. The good news is, it isn't life
threatening or anything, your current
symptoms are pretty much the whole thing.
The bad news is, you can't get rid of it,
and it's highly contagious - also very
common, as you might also now guess.
There are now some medications that can
reduce outbreaks and communicability.
Relaxing is also a good suggestion, stress
can make the symptoms worse, or cause
outbreaks - good time to check out yoga
and/or meditation.
On the subject, any tips on safe
cunninglingus? Saran wrap maybe?

There are the dental dams made for oral
sex.

Sure, but do you ever see them? I don't
believe i've ever actually seen one on a
shelf, and have no idea what they even
look like - granted I might not have been
looking very hard, my ex wasn't into it,
go figure. I was thinking something
quick, handy and inexpensive.
Otherwise, it's probobly advisable to
carry one or two in your purse in case you
get lucky - I doubt if they'll be finding
their way into mens wallets anytime
soon.
I'm also curious about the female condom,
i've seen them around once or twice but
they're also not exactly ubiquitous - i've
heard they work pretty well, and could
possibly do double duty, I dunno.

I went looking for dental dams the other
day: two wal marts, three grocery stores,
couple of pharmacies, and two adult
video/toy stores - nobody I asked had even
heard of them - got a few blushes and a
couple of videos, but no dental dam.

Ebay has them. Ebay has everything!
One of the few things I did not buy on
ebay was a dental dam! But its there
along with cars, electronics and real
estate all of which I have bought!
Good luck

yes, I did find tham online, but i'm not
sure that qualifies as convenient. I did,
however, run across plans for making an
impromptu dental dam - you snip the tip
off of a condom, then cut it lengthwise
and spread it out - two snips on a rolled
up condom, so ladies, you know what to do
now in a pinch.
Most county health offices distribute
condoms if you ask, so there's no reason
not to have a supply of those on hand.
I did find the female condom at the adult
book/video/toy store, but at around $10
for three of them, they aren't cheap. I
bought some, but have yet to test them for
utility in the cunninglingus dept.

It's essentially just a sheet of latex
that is placed over the external vagina to
provide a barrier and prevent fluid
exchange during cuninglingus.

ok I see...Would I still be able to feel
it happening with the latex over my
vagina, just as much as I would with out?
Thanx:)

You must be one of those people that
always thinks somethings wrong with them.
Because I highly doubt you've got an std.
It was your first time .. I mean yeah
sure it's possible. But um, I think
you're paranoid.
