Q: Panic Attack?

Hello,

since i've been menopausal i've had what I think might be panic attacks. I have palpitations on a regular basis but they get much worse and my heart rate goes way up even if I just sitting or laying down. I feel very anxious and it gets hard to breathe. It's very upsetting to have your heartbeat so fast when you're not exercising or scared. It feel the need to get up and move around. It usually subsides in about 15-20 minutes. Does anyone else experience this?

Thanks for any input,
dj

Panc Attack?
Dianajj

i have had palpitations since I was 21 years old and i'm now 49. They started out a result of a stressful marriage situation. Now they are mostly due to premenopause. There are times when I just get so tired of them I could scream. I am currently taking medication to control them somewhat. They are at their worse during my period though. Sometimes I even get a little chest pain and then a 'rush' feeling that I can't explain. Doctor says heart is ok but can't explain what hapened. I would just love to get in contact with a gyn who is an expert in the menopause field. I think us women deserve some relief. Just know that you're not alone with this palpitation thing. It's more common than you might think. May our lord help us through this transistion period.
