Hello there
sound to me as if your daughter has
myoclonic epilepsy. I dont know if I
spelt it correctly.
I am 21 and when I was younger I would
feel so tired I would go to bed and my
entire body would jerk 1 time. My doctors
said it was only because my body was tired
before my brain. But it would happen
alot. I would have finger twitching.
Just things that I though everyone else
had. Then all day at different times I
would get like a hot feeling all over and
I would do a silly shake that lasted maybe
5 seconds and be gone. Like the feeling
you get and ppl say oh someone walked ober
your grave kinda thing. Now 3 months ago
I had a massive grandmal seizure lasting
over 40 minutes I was taken to the
accident and emergency department and they
said I had an acute reaction to anxiety
and stress. I wasnt stressed I didnt know
what happened. I was sent home in the
care of my partner and I slept for 2 days
only being woken for food and drinks.
Since that I went to a neurologist they
couldnt find anything wrong with me either
normal ct ,eeg,ecg nothing abnormal.
Except for stress lines over my eeg. I am
on tegretol now
the doctors found that I am a temporal
lobe epileptic , when I was 8 yrs old I
cracked my head open and they say thats
why I have it now later in life.
