I have been taking my birth control since july 16th, so.. For over 3 weeks now, & my bf came inside me just the other night. Shouldn't I be protected by now?

Yes, you would be protected if you are taking your pills consistently (same time every day, etc).

Well, I have a different opinion than that. I was taking the pill, and my doctor told me that it started to work 30 days after your first pill, and you have to take it every day at the same time.

Now if you've been taking it for 3 weeks shouldnt you be expecting your period in one? If so, just wait for it to show, and if it doesnt go to your doctor

Well.. Today will be my 2nd sugar pill of the pack. I have yet to start my period - although i've heard that women new to the pill may have a later period - or no period at all because of the extra hormones in your system.

Also, I was a sunday starter. [had my period on july 14th, started pill on 16th.] they say to use a back up method of bc for 1 week after beginning the pills if you're a sunday starter. So shouldn't that mean that after that - the pills should definitely be taking effect?

I'm almost ready to just quit worrying & keep taking my pills correctly.

Ughh.

Yes, relax. Like I said, and like the clinic told you, if you have been taking your pills as prescribed, you shouldn't have to worry.

Generally, you don't start your period until day 3 (or later) of the sugar pills. So not having started by day 2 is nothing to fret over.

It is ok to quit worrying. Keep taking your pills as you have been.

Good luck!

I wouldn't worry. As long as you didn't miss any you should be fine. Most say to wait at least 2 weeks. Wait it out, if your that stressed get a blood preg test done, it can tell you a lot faster.

Good luck
