I am due aug. 25th, but last monday I had to get an ultrasound done b/c the drs thought he won't be able to fit through my pelvic bone b/c it's tilted up, the ultrasound pulled up an edd of august 10th :) ...Now I know there not always right, but my drs said that if I go into labor after aug. 6th they would let it go, b/c was 7 1/2 lbs on that day! On saturday I went to the drs & my cervix is soft & his head is where it's supposed to be.. I was wondering, have any of you lady's tried castor oil? My couison did & it worked twice for her..I was going to wait until after my appt. Tomorrow to see what my drs. Say.. Any advice would be nice! Thanks

I tried it on a friday and then again on a saturday. It did nothing to me, didn't make me poop or nothing-lol

i went into labour the monday and had my son by c-sec tuesday night. Don't know if the castor oil helped bring on labour, but I don't think so.

I tried that with my son and all it did was make me poop. I thinks it just a myth.

it can also cause vomitting. Severe poo's or sever vomitting. Sounds like fun going into labor!

Seriously though, castor oil is not a good idea. If it were, or any other 'natural' induction, doctors would have no need for pitocin, would they?

I never tried it, but as for the long labor, and c-section, I don't imagine that they would let you suffer for too long, but what did the ultrasound show, do they think that you will be able to have the little bugger. I wasn't able to have my son normally, because of that reason, but they never did an ultrasound to find out either, I was already in the middle of labor when they found out, haha!
