Your ped should tell you all this-when you should start everything, plus there are plenty of baby books.
Most people start cereal around 4-5 months. They say to start cereal when your baby can hold their head up well and when they become interested in the food you are eating in front of them. Sometimes they smack their lips.
As for juices, they are almost all sugar and of almost no nutritional value. Many pediatricians say not to give juice at all.

Hi I would defiantley talk to your sons doctor about it. I wouldn't recommend juice. My kids have had either cows milk (my older child who is 17 months) or water and I refuse to give them anything else. You may not think it but alot of these supposed 'baby' drinks have additives in them that send kids hyper and rots their teeth. My sister was given ribena which is a blackcurrant drink aimed at children and apparently 'tooth kind' and now she has to go the dentist as one of her front teeth is going grey.
Also your son is too young to be thinking about this but fizzy soda drinks are really bad for any child. It sends them hyperactive cause of the 'e' numbers in it and it causes rotting of teeth and is highly addictive.
I urge no one to give drinks like coca cola etc to their child. Sorry to go on about it but its a topic I feel strongly about.

Talk to the doc, but even if you do start cereal (i started when trey waas about 3 months) he still needs his formula. As for juice it's usually only 6mths , but trey does not drink juice either (although his stupid ass grandmother gave him some behind my back. doing it b*tch) and fruits and veggies, should not be started untill about 1 month after cereal between 4-6 months.

my best friend's parents were foster parents. They actually got children who had been taken away from their mothers for lack of nutrition. The children were given soda pop in their bottles, had rotten teeth from it, and kool aid.

Both those things are pure sugar and junk. Sugar doesn't cause hyperactivity but it does cause other, numerous health problems. I hope your sister isn't still doing this.

if you have ever drank mountain dew,you would be off the walls. It has so much damn caffeine in it I can't drink it for 7 hours before I go to bed,or else i'll be half awake all night or wake up the next day tired cause I was moving around too much

mountain dew is a lime drink here with waaaaaay too much caffeine in it!

I don't know if she still gives it to him but I told her she needed to stop. Her and her husband are hard headed and I really don't think they should be parents at all.I wish my family could take them away. . .

I think the reason it send skids hyper is cause of the amount of caffenine in it. Kids can't handle it.

Hehe we have dr pepper.. All the products of the coca-cola company.. Although we don't call them sodas. I love coke.. But i'm trying to cut down coz of how sugary it is. The only time caffeine has had a major effect on me was when I drank 5 cans of red bull and 3 bottles of lucozade.. Oh my.. I was buzzzzzzing. Hehe. Never again =p
